The blades I make are all hand forged with very little stock removal. For the most part they are forged and finished without power tools. Each item is unique even if I am making a batch of the same design.

Most of my knives and all of my hatchets utilize a soft steel or wrought iron body with a high carbon steel cutting edge forge welded on. For my edge steel and mono steel knives, I primarily use 1080,1095 and 5160. With some knives I have even made my own homemade version of sheer steel for the blades. Handle materials I use are mostly steel, copper and bronze with walnut, fruit wood, red gum eucalyptus, seasoned wood form old wagon wheels, bone and antler.
